I have been a Lactation Consultant since 2004 and continue to be. I have supported more than 100,000 mothers, babies, and their families throughout their entire breastfeeding journey including pregnancy, and postpartum.

I am a mother of four and a grandmother for two handsome boys ( Saif and Rayan).

I breastfed all my children, my elder for 12 months and youngest for 2.5 years, during which I overcame several hurdles during my own breastfeeding experience. I have been a full time working mom all my career life, and before that started my full time nursing studies when my first child was 8 months old. All with 6 weeks maternity leave. Like many of you, I struggled with low milk supply and the need for triple feeds, went through the need for urgent Caesarean section (with my last child), which led my baby to needing to use NICU care for few days, could not do immediate skin to skin and huge him as planned, and then the need to supplement formula while building up my supply and providing my expressed colostrums. Went through the pain of breast mastitis and sore breastfeeding, and strived all the way to achieve my feeding goal to exclusive breastfeeding the first 6 months and to continue at least 2 years.

Through the challenges of feeding my own children and supporting mothers like you achieving their feeding goal, I realized my true passion of helping others with feeding their newborns.

I learnt from my extended experience that parents are the heroes of their story and can overcome, with timely skilled support, all sorts of challenges along the way.
