Value package includes the following:
- In-home Initial consult +1 follow-up visit
- Perform a pre-feed weight and a then a post-feed weight at the end of the feed with a highly accurate baby weigh scale that calculates an estimate of how much milk your baby drinks from the breast. I can carry out an oral assessment to help identify any oral restrictions that may be impacting on your breastfeeding or bottle feeding.
- Unlimited phone/text/e-mail support for 1 week
- Your personal breast pump flange fitting and its effective use demo (if needed)
In the comfort of your home, we arrive at a mutually agreed upon time to ensure your baby is ready to breastfeed. An initial lactation consult is typically 1-1.5 hours in length and there are no extra or hidden costs if we run over time. A follow up lactation consult is typically 45 min-1 hour in length
A full history of your pregnancy, you and your baby’s health, birth and breastfeeding story so far.
In the session, we will work together to identify the cause of the problem to equip you with strategies you need to overcome any hurdles.
Observe & assess the entire feed and offer a variety of suggestions and recommendations. Offer hands on support as needed. The goal is to bring you and your baby to a place where breastfeeding is more enjoyable.
At the end of the consult, an overall summary via e-mail with a written feeding plan, recommendations, and resources will be sent 24-48 hours after the visit.
